Hope needs systems
Hope is not only a feeling we either possess or fail to possess. It is often protected by small structures that help us stay human when the world is noisy.
Try building one of these:
- One written next step so your brain does not have to hold the whole plan.
- One person who knows what you are carrying.
- One pause before agreeing to a new demand.
- One reliable source instead of an endless stream of alarming fragments.
- One boundary that protects sleep, food, medicine, quiet or recovery.
No single structure fixes the world. It can stop the world from taking all of you at once.
Hope grows better when it has somewhere to live.
